Add Import duties from USA
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/654 of 26 February 2016 amending Council Regulation (EC) No. 673/2005 establishing additional customs duties on imports of certain products originating in the USA.
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No. 673/2005 of 25 April 2005 establishing additional customs duties on imports of certain products originating in the United States (1), and in particular Article 3 thereof,
Given that the United States not harmonize Compensation Act Continued Dumping and Subsidy (the "CDSOA" Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act CDSOA) with their obligations under the World Trade Organisation ( "WTO"), Regulation (EC) No. 673/2005 from 1 May 2005 imposing additional ad valorem duty of 15% on imports of certain products originating in the United States. In accordance with the WTO authorization to suspend the application of concessions to the United States, the Commission shall adjust the level of suspension to the level of nullification or impairment, which at that time CDSOA results in the European Union.
The effect of an additional ad valorem duty at a level of 0.45% on imports from the United States listed in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No. 673/2005 over one year, a value of trade that does not exceed 887 696 USD.
Products originating from the United States listed in Annex I hereto is the duty applicable under Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2913/92 (*) imposes an additional ad valorem duty of 0.45%.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. It shall apply from 1 May 2016.
