AEO type C - simplified procedures

Authorized economic operator authorization - simplified procedures shall be granted to any economic operator established in the European Union who fulfills the criteria for compliance with customs legislation.
 
The holder of an AEO type C authorization shall be entitled to benefit from the benefits which the customs authorities are required to grant to him under the authorization obtained:
 
  • easier access to simplified customs procedures (authorized consignee, authorized consignor, registration, approved exporter, etc.)
  • advantages in respect of securing the customs debt (ie use of the overall guarantee but in particular the reduction of the guarantee to 30%, 50%, 0%) for all customs procedures
  • lower number of physical checks of consignments of goods and of documents (customs and accompanying regulations related to customs and related regulations)
  • Notification in the case of selection for customs control of customs and related legislation (compliance with declared data and values)
  • priority treatment of consignments if selected for inspection (condition of identification of the AEO holder according to the data in the customs and accompanying documents)
  • the possibility of requesting a specific place to carry out such a check
  • only the holder of the AEO type C certificate will be able to benefit from the so-called "AEO" certificate. centralized clearance after the end of the transitional period, ie. Mo 31.12.2020.
       
 
        In addition, the holder of an AEO type C license shall:
 
  • quality mark for business partners in and outside the EU, competitiveness (increases the chance of getting a contract in tenders and tenders)
  • thorough revision and setup of logistic and security system, more efficient use of resources (self-knowledge of the company through the implementation of customs audit)
  • fewer security incidents, reduced risk of breach of customs regulations (status in partnership with customs authorities)
  • improved communication and understanding of the economic operator's activities by the customs authorities (information on changes on both sides)
  • the credibility of the holder of an AEO type C authorization in customs procedures (AEO type C is a reliable and proven partner in the field of customs procedures)
 
 

AEO type S - security and protection

Authorized economic operator - security and safety authorization shall be granted to any operator established within the European Union who fulfills the criteria for compliance with customs legislation, sound accounting standards, financial solvency and compliance with safety and security standards.
 
The holder of an AEO type S authorization shall be entitled to benefit from the benefits which the customs authorities are required to grant to him under the authorization obtained:
 
  • lower number of physical checks of consignments of goods and of documents (customs and accompanying) related to security and protection
  • Notification in the case of a selection for physical inspection of goods for safety and security
  • priority treatment of consignments if selected for inspection (condition of identification of the AEO holder according to the data in the customs and accompanying documents)
  • the possibility of requesting a specific place to carry out such a check
      
 
        In addition, the holder of an AEO type S license shall:
 
  • quality mark for business partners in and outside the EU, competitiveness (increases the chances of winning the contract in tenders and tenders)
  • thorough revision and setup of logistic and security system, more efficient use of resources (self-knowledge of the company through the implementation of customs audit)
  • fewer security incidents, reduced risk of breach of customs regulations (status in partnership with customs authorities)

  • the credibility of the AEO Type S authorization holder in customs clearance (AEO Type S is a reliable and proven safety and security partner)
  • acceptance of AEO type S authorizations in non-EU countries with which the EU has signed mutual recognition agreements (MRAs)
 
Customs authorities do not automatically grant these benefits from practice unless an AEO type C / S holder at the commencement of the customs procedure or at the start of the customs procedure is identified. risk analysis.
